8 Months!

Hey, can you believe this?!?! I'm 8 months old today!!!

I've been on the outside for 8 months already!! Mom says she can't believe it. I don't know why. She was there...

Anyway, I didn't have a very good day today. This time change nonsense is messing with me. I didn't sleep quite right last night and had a weird day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's.

Aunt Mere got me from Mrs. Leigh Ann's and took me to her house. I took a little nap. When I woke up, she had a big toy for me to play in! It was like the one at my house, but it had different toys on it. I was excited!!

Side note: If you don't have a big toy, socks are fun to play with, too.

I played in the big toy and played with Brenna. We watched the Backyardigans together. Mom came to get me after little work. She was really glad to see me and I was glad to see her too!!

I've had a really good afternoon and evening on my monthiversary! I'm gonna grab some dinner and hit the sack! Hopefully tomorrow can be a great day all day long!

Outside

Hey, look at my shirt! It says more stuff about the day called St. Patrick's Day. I guess Mom was right about me wearing more green stuff...

I had a great day today. I slept really late. In the middle of the night, somebody snuck in and stole an hour! All of a sudden, an hour just disappeared! It was so crazy. It was like 2:00 never even happened at all. The clocks in my house just skipped right over it. Mom said it's called "Daylight Savings Time". I don't know what were saving. I just thought it was weird.

After I finally got up, we went to Grandmom and Granddad's. The people who eat solid food had lunch and I took a nap. After my nap, we went outside to play. It was, as that weather fellow says, another "unseasonably warm" day. It was almost 80 degrees! Things are starting to happen outside. Everything is turning green and flowers are starting to bloom. Mom says it's the start of the season called Spring. I went out there to check it out.

There were flowers growing on a short stumpy tree. Mom said it was called a "bush". I got to smell one. It smelled pretty. :)

There were pretty yellow flowers coming out of the ground. Mom said they were called "daffodils". Mom let me hold one.

And I got to wear it in my hair.

Then we did something really fun. Mom said it was called "blowing bubbles". Mom had this little stick thing and when she blew on it, the "bubbles" came out and flew all around. She let me try.

I was pretty sure I could handle it on my own.

I had a great time playing outside. I played on my big outside blanket.

I even tried to escape so I could explore more outside things.

After we played outside, Mom and I came home. I took a long nap. I needed it after all of that playing! After my nap, I played with some of my toys. It was a great day, even if it was missing an hour!!

I Won!!

Oh, hey, Saturday!! I don't know why you're so much shorter than other days.

I had a pretty good day. Mom and I got up and I played while she made cakes. Aunt Trina came to get her cake and of course, she played with me. :) She tried to take me with her, but Mom wouldn't let her. After Aunt Trina left, Mom and I got clean and dressed. I won the battle of wills with Mom. After we were ready, she took me to Grandmom and Granddad's and she went to the doctor. Finally. I'm tired of listening to her cough!! And I know she doesn't feel good and I want her to feel better. She was gone for a long time. We stayed at Grandmom and Granddad's for a little while longer. I like playing there. :)

We came home and I played in my big toy and on the floor. Mom read to me for a little while. We read a book called Fox in Socks. That Dr. Seuss was a funny guy. That book was hilarious.

I also watched Dora for a little while. That made me laugh too.

I've had my dinner now and I've brushed my teeth, so I'm ready for bed. I hope Sunday isn't as speedy as today!!

Sharing

Hooray for Friday!!! :)

Mom says that the day called St. Patrick's Day is coming up, so I will be wearing lots of green things. I'm not sure about this named day yet. I'll have to do some research and get back to you on what I find. Until then, please note my TWO teeth.

Did you see them??

After I got up this morning, I got ready for my day. My shirt said "Irish you would kiss me." Apparently that is related to the day called St. Patrick's Day. I was confused about it, so I spit up on it. After that, my shirt said "Hug me, I'm Irish." That made a little more sense to me, so I went with it. (Sorry, first shirt...)

I had a good day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Mom came to get me after school. We came home and I went right to sleep while Mom baked some cakes. Mom was just about to take a nap (she feels really really sick), but I woke up for a snack. I took another little nap. Mom started to take a nap again, but I woke up to play. Mom was happy to play with me though. :)

We went for a quick ride to get Mom some dinner. When we came back, I played in my big toy. While I was in there, The Backyardigans came on tv!! Woo!!

Now that Pablo and Uniqua have finished their Mission to Mars, I think I'm going to wrap up my day. Tomorrow, we will be busy with cakes, but I am going to try to convince Mom to go to the doctor. She is very stubborn...

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

I had a good day today! Yesterday was rough, but today was much better!

Before I went to Mrs. Leigh Ann's, I played in my big toy. You see, if you stick out the Granddaddy tongue, you can get the pandas to do all sorts of things...

I had a good day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Aunt Mere picked me up. Mom had to wait on someone to pick up a cake before she could come get me, so I went home with Aunt Mere and waited for Mom. After Mom came to get me, the people that eat solid food ate some dinner and then Mom and I came home. It's raining. A lot. And the tv man says it's going to rain a lot more. I don't really like that. I don't like getting wet when I go outside. Mostly though, I feel sorry for Sadie. Sadie does not like to have wet paws. But Sadie has to go outside to use the potty. Her potty is all wet and yucky. Sometimes she won't even go out the door!! She's starting to give my diapers the eye. I think she's thinking about wearing one. I don't want to have to be the one to break it to her that my diapers won't fit her.

Poor Sadie. I hope the rain stops soon!

Let The Good Times Roll!!

Today is the day called Mardi Gras. Those are fancy French words that mean "Fat Tuesday". I was really confused about why everyone was supposed to be fat and how they were only going to be fat for one day.

Then Mom explained that the day called Mardi Gras is last day before the time called Lent begins. This is the time before the day called Easter. Mom says that lots of people give up something they really really like for the time called Lent and that Mardi Gras is like the last party before that starts. Mom also says that since we are Baptist-type people, we don't really have to give anything up. This is good news to me. I would have missed my applesauce and Violet the dog and I don't think Mom could survive her days at big work without Diet Mountain Dew and chocolate.

Another important thing I learned about Mardi Gras is that you get to wear beads. Pretty, sparkly beads. At the big parties in places like the town called New Orleans, if you yell "Throw me something, mister!!" they fling beads in your general direction. I just looked real cute at Mom and she gave me hers. :)

The last thing I learned about Mardi Gras are some funny words. Laissez les bons temps rouler. I had no idea what Mom was talking about. (Mom just said she would like to be a fly on the wall when Granny Kat reads that to Grandmother. I'm not sure what that means...) Mom told me that it just means "Let the good times roll" in that fancy French language. I think that means you're supposed to have fun.

I didn't have much fun today though. My tummy was hurting and I just felt out of sorts. I didn't have a very good day. I've been better since Mom came home, though. I played, took a bath and ate dinner.

Something peculiar has started happening lately. After dinner, Mom says I have to brush my teeth. She says that people with teeth have to take good care of them and keep them clean. So she puts this blue thing on her finger, squeezes some goo onto it, and shoves it in my mouth. It feels funny and the goo tastes good. It's still weird, though.

It feels funny when she rubs that blue thing in my mouth, but I let her do it because I want to be a good girl with pretty teeth. :)

Now that I've brushed my teeth, I'm going to try to get some sleep. I can go to bed happy!! My Gamecocks just beat those Tigers on the baseball field. Annas do not like tigers...
