Nurse Anna

I stayed home to take care of Mom today. Poor Mom. The first thing I did to help her was to sleep in. I thought she could use the extra rest. Then when I got up, I was extra cute and smiley so I would make her happy.

I had breakfast and then I played and played. I reminded Mom to take her medicine. After we played, I needed a nap. I think she took one too. After my nap, I took a bath and had lunch. I had sweet potatoes and turkey. Good stuff.

After I played for a while, I took another nap. Mom did too. Then we played some more.

I love hanging with Mom. That's what my shirt said anyway. It's true. I wish Mom wasn't sick, but I liked spending the day with her. :)

Mom likes my hair. She says it is cute. :)

Mom is feeling a little better. She told me not to worry and that she'll be back to normal soon. I enjoyed the day taking care of Mom. She says she's going back to big work tomorrow. She doesn't have to go there many more times....

Winter?

Winter came back today. It's been raining and nasty and cold all day! I had a good day in spite of the weather!

I spent the day playing with my friends at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Grandmom came to get me. Little did I know, Mom had been home for hours. The nurse at big work sent her home today because she is sick. She went to the doctor and got some medicine. I will smile at her a lot to make her happy. :)

When we got to Grandmom and Granddad's, there was Mom, waiting for me! She said we had to go home because we needed to go to dinner. I asked her if she really felt like it, but she said that we needed to go see Katie before she disappears. Katie is leaving tomorrow to go back to that place that held her hostage last summer when I was first on the outside.

We met everyone at the place called Olive Garden. (By everyone, I mean Granny Kat, Uncle Hoppy, Katie, Justin, Bobby, Aunt Mere, Uncle Corey, Colin, and Brenna.)

While I was sitting in the high chair like a big girl, Mom gave me something called a "breadstick". I was a big fan.

I chewed on it for a while. I really really liked it. I got VERY mad at Mom when she took it away.

Bobby thought it would be funny if I wore his hat.

After dinner, Mom and I came home. I played for a while and then I ate my dinner. I'm getting ready for bed now. Mom said the doctor told her she can't go to big work tomorrow. I think that means I might get to stay home too....

Next to Last Monday

Today was a pretty typical Monday. There was a chill in the air this morning, so it was jacket time. Mom says that today was the next to last Monday of the big work year. Only one more to go. That sounds good to me!

I was really glad to see my friends at Mrs. Leigh Ann's this morning. I had a good day. I went to Grandmom and Granddad's this afternoon to wait for Mom. She had a couple of things to do. When Mom came to get me, I was asleep. She had been asleep, too. She isn't feeling very well today. :/ When I woke up, I played, had a bottle, and we came home. At home, I played, took a bath, ate my dinner, read a story, and saved some animals with the Wonder Pets. Now I'm ready for bed. There may be only one more Monday of big work, but there are three more Tuesdays! :P

Par-Tay!! (And Shopping..)

Wow! Today was a busy Sunday!! After Mom and I got up this morning, I had a snack. While I watched Yo Gabba Gabba, Mom made a cake. When she was finished, we got clean and dressed. Mrs. Chalica and Emma came over right after that. They played with me for a while. Then, we went to the party.

My friend Annabelle's 2nd birthday party was today. We went to a place called Sake Express for the party. I got to sit in a high chair at the table just like a big girl!!

I snacked on some puffs and I ate Mom's carrots from her lunch. She doesn't like carrots. I LOVED them! After lunch, we had cake!! :)

I LOVE cake!!! :)

I got really tired watching Annabelle open her presents, so I fell asleep on Mom's lap. When I woke up, we were at Grandmom and Granddad's!!! Very confusifying!! (I threw that in for Katie.)

After I had my real lunch, Mom let me see what was in my bag from Annabelle's party. I had sunglasses!

This afternoon, Aunt Mere, Mom, and I went shopping the place called the "yellow mall". We shopped and shopped and shopped. I got lots of new things. I got very tired while we were shopping, so I took a nap. I woke up just as we were leaving the yellow mall. Finally.

We stopped off at Grandmom and Granddad's to pick up some of the things I had left behind. Aunt Mere and I waited in the yard while Mom got the stuff. While we were there, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Temp came by! It was nice to see them for a few minutes!!

Mom and I took Aunt Mere home and then we came home ourselves. I was so glad to be out of my car seat. I played for a little bit and then I had my dinner. I'm so tired now!! Time for bed!!

Ten Months!

I'm ten months old now!!! Today was my monthiversary and I had a pretty good day! Mom and I got up this morning and I had my morning snack. We played for a little bit and then Mom had to get to work on her big cake. I played and watched the Backyardigans while she worked. After a while, I needed another snack and a nap.

After my nap, I played and played. Mom said it was silly for me to crawl through my big toy. :)

I had a new food for lunch today. Sweet potatoes and corn. I really liked it. :) After lunch, I took a bath. Mom says I've gotten too adventurous in the little tub, so I get to take a bath in the big tub now. Aunt Mere sent this thingamabob for me to sit in when I'm in the big tub. I liked it a lot!!

After my bath, I took another nap. When I woke up, Aunt Mere, Colin, and Brenna were here!! Brenna had picked out a present for me! It's a llama. I named him Jammies because he is from the book called Llama Llama Red Pajama. I played with Brenna. :)

She helped me work on my laptop. :)

Later this afternoon, Mom and I went to Grandmom and Granddad's to get my clothes. Then we went to dinner with Grandmom and Granddad. I had a lot of fun playing in my seat at the restaurant and Mom let me taste something called a "hushpuppy"! (It is not in any way associated with a dog.) After the big people's dinner, Mom and I came home. I've had my dinner now and I'm very tired. My tenth monthiversary was a good one!! :)

Friday the 13th

Apparently, Friday the 13th makes people nervous. This irrational fear is called "friggatriskaidekaphobia". (I did some research.) Since today was Friday the 13th, I did not want to get out of bed. I drank my morning bottle while I was asleep. Mom changed my diaper and my clothes while I was asleep. She brushed my hair and put my bow in while I was asleep. I woke up a little bit for pictures.

I woke up a little more when I had to get into my car seat. My piggies were doing funny things.

I had a pretty good day today. I went to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Grandmom picked me up today. She and Granddad brought me home.

As soon as I got home, Mom changed my clothes and put me back in my car seat. :/ She said we had to go to big work. Me?!? On the way, she said we weren't going to the school. She said we were going to something called "Relay for Life". Mom explained that it was a big party/celebration to collect money for something called the "American Cancer Society". According to Mom, "cancer" is a bad, bad sickness. It's a disease. It's way worse than a runny nose. Mom says that this disease makes people so sick and they have to fight and fight to get better. She says that sometimes the disease is so mean that people don't get better at all. In general, I think this "cancer" is very, very mean. At any rate, this "Relay for Life" is an even to raise money to help people try to figure out how to get rid of "cancer". Big work had a tent at the event and Mom had to go, so I got to go along. I got to see some of Mom's children from school. I got to see Mr. Mike, Mrs. Kelly, and the girls that came to see me when I was first on the outside. I got to see Ms. Melissa. And I got to play with some of the ladies from big work. I had the most fun playing with Mrs. Lesley.

We stayed at the Relay until it was dark. We listened to music and talked and played. Mom and I were getting tired, so we came home. When we got home, I got into my pajamas and ate dinner. It was a busy day and I'm tired. Time for bed! Friday the 13th wasn't so bad!!

Blog Fail

Aah!! My blog was BROKEN last night!! They called it "maintenance", but I thought that meant fixing something, not breaking it!!!

Anyway, here's the scoop:

I had a good day! Mom didn't have to go to big work on time. She got to go in late because of the effects of the bad storm. She took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. I had a good day there. Grandmom picked me up and I played at her house until Mom came. (Mom was baking cakes.)

We came home after Mom ate dinner. I took a bath and ate dinner. Mom baked more cakes. I got to play with my toys for a little while. I like to build a little toy mountain to climb on.

After I played, I went to sleep. So that's what was up with yesterday. I'll let you know about today when it's finished!! :) Hopefully they won't do more "maintenance" any time soon!!!
