Back to Saturday

Saturdays are back to being a day to look forward to! During the summer, every day was like Saturday. Now I'm glad to have Mom home on Saturdays again.

We had a good, if fairly uneventful, day. I had breakfast and played for a little while. Then I took a nap while Mom made a cake. When I woke up, I had a snack and I took a bath and got dressed.

Mom and I had to go to Michael's and Target. That was our big excitement for the day. When we came home, I had lunch and played some more. I took a good nap this afternoon. When I woke up, I had a snack and played while I watched some tv. There was a big storm outside and the lights and tv went off for a while. It came back on, though. I had something called "spaghettios" for dinner. I had some fruit and milk too. It was a yummy dinner.

I guess I'll get to bed now. Tomorrow will be here before I know it!!

Eight

I have a new tooth today. That makes eight. :) Cheese!!!

After breakfast, Grandmom took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. It wasn't a million degrees this morning, so we got to play outside!! I love playing in the car!

I am a very serious driver.

I had a great day today. Mom picked me up after big work and we came home. I was pretty tired. She put me in the floor to play and I just fell over. See?

After a few minutes, I got up and had a snack. After my snack, Granny Kat, Katie, Uncle Hoppy, Bobby, and Justin came to pick up a chair for Katie's new house. We played for a little while and then we went to the place called Tropical Escape for dinner.

As soon as we came home, I put my pajamas on. I'm ready for bed now! I'm exhausted!

Monkey

I had a good day today! Grandmom took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. I had something called "ABCs and 123s" for lunch. So yummy!! Mom picked me up after big work. We went to see Grandmom and Granddad. Then we went to WalMart. We saw Mrs. Kim, Mr. Mike, and LeeAnn. Then we came home for dinner. I had a chicken noodle dish, green beans, and cinnamon apples. :) Then I took a bath and played for a little bit.

As I started writing my blog tonight, it occurred to me that Mom did not take my picture today. Please accept this video clip instead. Mom let me play with Mr. Monkey tonight before he goes back to big work with her.

Back To Work

Mom woke me up this morning. I wasn't excited about it. She said she was sorry.

I got dressed and went downstairs. Grandmom was down there! I had breakfast and smiled for Mom and hugged and kissed her.

Grandmom took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. I played there all day. I had a good day. :)

Grandmom picked me up and took me to her house. I played there until Mom came back from big work. Mom brought me home after that. I had dinner, took a bath, and watched Dora and Diego while I played. It's time for bed now.

It wasn't a terribly exciting day, but that's how it will be for a while.

I guess I'll just grin and bear it!! :)

The End

Today was not a terribly eventful day. I got up and had my breakfast. Then I played until Mom said it was time for a bath. After my bath, I took a nap.

After my nap, I had lunch and we went to Target. When we came back home, I took another nap.

When I woke up I played with Mom. :) She was being really funny.

She made me stand still for a picture so she could get a picture of my whole outfit with my shoes. She thought I looked super cute today. (She thinks that every day.)

I had a snack while I watched the Backyardigans. I had real milk! Mom says that my formula is almost gone and when it is gone I'm not getting more. That's fine with me! I love food and this milk stuff is good!

After my snack, I played until dinner. I had beef ravioli and banana pudding for dinner. :)

Mom is sad tonight. The thing called summer is over. Mom has to go to big work tomorrow. Little work will start again in a few weeks. Mom says she is going to do everything she can to be with me as much as possible. I know she will. I have had a lot of fun with Mom while she has been out of big work. I will have a lot of fun at Mrs. Leigh Ann's, too. My friends are there and Baby Bradyn will be joining in the fun! Mom says that now that the thing called school is starting, it won't be long until my Gamecocks start playing football again. We're both happy about that.

It's time for bed now. I have to get up early in the morning!

Learning Through The Pain

Today was a very, VERY busy day. First, I had a bath and breakfast and then Mom said we had to hurry out the door!

We stopped at my doctor's office. We went in and they came out and called my name. Nurse Pat took me back and took my temperature under my arm. Then she made me take my clothes off and get on the weighy thingy. I didn't want to be on there, so I climbed off. And then I rolled off. And then I stood up. She finally just said I weigh 20 pounds. Mom says she's not sure about that. Then she took me in the room and laid me down and made marks on the paper. She measured the marks with a tape thing. She said I was 30 inches. Then she made me do it again because she wasn't sure. Then she said I was 30 inches again. Mom's not sure about that either. Then she did the measure-y thing to my head. 4 times. Sigh. I was kind of glad to see her go.

Dr. Shuler came in and did his things with the little lights and the little spaceship thing. He checked me out all over and said I was a perfect little person. Um, duh... :) Then I heard him talking to Mom about "immunizations". That is fancy, grown-up, don't-scare-the-kids talk for "shots". We waited for a while. Mom put my clothes back on. Then Nurse Pat came back. I was sitting on Mom's lap being really good and that lady stabbed me in the arm! And then the other arm!! I cried and cried. We left that room and I stopped crying. The other nurses that are my friends came out to see me. I played with them. Nurse Pat came to check on me. I screamed when I saw her. Mom said that wasn't very polite, but she said she understood.

We went to Grandmom and Granddad's when we left the doctor and Mom gave me pancakes. :) Everybody was there waiting for us. Everybody but Granddad loaded up in two cars and we left on an adventure. I took a nap.

When I woke up, we were somewhere called the Schiele Museum. More learning. All five of us posed for a picture.

The first thing we did was go in a cave. It wasn't a real cave because we were in a building. But it looked like a cave. Mom seemed nervous. We looked at some things. Then Mom freaked out. There was an owl in the "cave". A real owl. (I have learned that my Mom gets very upset when there are birds around.) Just when we got away from the owl, Mom SUPER freaked out. There were bats. Real ones. Flying around. (I learned today that my Mom is VERY afraid of bats.)

Eep!

Around the corner from all the trauma, we found a really cute raccoon. He was alive and I loved him! He would look right at me and move his little nose. I laughed at him. He was so cute! A little further on, we found a bear. It wasn't alive, but I really liked it too. :)

We looked at lots of animals that weren't alive, but they looked really real. Like this bear.

We saw animals that live now and models of animals that lived a long time ago. We saw some Native American stuff and some rocks. Mom found some puppets, too. I love puppets!

After the museum, we went to get some lunch at Chick-Fil-A. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some applesauce (and some of Mom's french fries). Then we went to a bookstore. Mom got me some books because I had been such a good girl all day. I read one of my new books for a while and then I took a nap on the way home. After I played at Grandmom and Granddad's for a little while, Mom and I came home.

I had a snack and played before dinner. For dinner, I had "pasta primavera". Doesn't that sound fancy? (It was noodles.) I played for a while and then Mom said it was time to clean up. Tonight, I helped her pick up my toys instead of just watching her. She really liked that.

After this busy day, I am definitely ready for bed!!

Swimming With My Cousins!

When I woke up this morning, I had breakfast and played for a little while. I took a good nap so I would have lots of energy. Then I took a bath and Mom and I went to Grandmom and Granddad's. Just like Mom said, Pete and Helena were there. We waited for Aunt Mere, Uncle Corey, Colin, and Brenna to get there and then we had lunch.

I didn't have baby food for lunch. I had chicken and dumplings, green beans, a roll, and oreo pie just like everybody else!! It was the best food I have ever had! In. My. Life!!!

After lunch, I played for a little bit and then Mom put my bathing suit on me and we left. We went to Gramme and Grandpa John's pool. Aunt Mere, Uncle Corey, Colin, and Brenna were already there. Kaelin was there, too. I was excited about swimming, even though I had been asleep in the car.

Right after we got there, Grandmom came with Pete and Helena!! I got to swim with everyone!

I got tired of my boat and decided I could swim like everyone else. My favorite part was jumping off the side of the pool. Mom always caught me. :)

I swam and swam until I got very, very tired. Mom let me have a snack and we came home.

I took a good nap and then I had my dinner. After dinner, I watched some tv and played. Mom says I have to go to bed now because I have to get up earlier in the morning. She says I'm going to see Dr. Shuler. Hm.
