Long Week!!

Mom says it's only Thursday. I feel like we deserve a Friday by now. I felt pretty cute this morning in the outfit Aunt Trina gave me for Christmas. :)

I had a good day. I went to Mrs. Leigh Ann's and then to Grandmom and Granddad's, just like I do almost every day when Mom has big work. Mom came right after she went to the Target store. I was pretty excited to see her. She got some new bibs for me and some new blankets. She said they were on something called "clearance". She told me it's good to find things on "clearance" because it means the store is trying to get rid of the stuff and you don't have pay as much money for it. She said it was exciting. Ok, Mom. She also got an outfit for me for a day called Valentine's Day. Here we go with another named day...

Anyway, it was a good day. And even better?? Mom says that tomorrow is Friday!

Yippee!!!!!

Violet

I had a very good day today! Maybe it was because I was so cool in my pink and leopard outfit!

I had a good day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. I even came home in the same clothes I left in! (I don't do that very often!) Mom said she was very proud of me for wearing the same clothes all day long.

Aunt Mere picked me up and I went to Grandmom and Granddad's. Mom was there waiting for me. I was really tired from being so good, so I took a long nap. After Mom had dinner, we came home.

When we got home, I was in a really good mood. I played and played and laughed. :)

I played with my puppy, Violet. Grandmother and Granddaddy Auten gave her to me for Christmas. Violet is so smart. She knows my name and some of my favorite things. She sings songs about me and talks to me. The thingy around her neck (I think Mom said it's called a "collar") lights up. She is such a good friend!

Instead of just telling you about her, I think I'll let you see her in action. You can also see how much I love playing with her! She's a great pal!

I Had Forgotten

I had forgotten how long Tuesdays can be. Mom told me she had to stay at big work for a long time, but I didn't remember how long. Boo.

I had a pretty good day. I was rockin' these cute overalls that Aunt Kelly gave me. Mom had to put water on my hair this morning to make it behave. I thought it was funny. :)

Oh! And I wore my shoes! Shoes are very interesting!

After a day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's and an afternoon at Grandmom's house, Mom finally came to get me! She was mumbling something about a meeting, but she was happy to see me. I was happy to see her too. She ate dinner with Grandmom and Granddad. We played for a little while (the game called peekaboo, which I find especially amusing) and then it was time to come home.

I fell asleep in the car and napped for a few minutes in my seat after we got home. When I woke up, Glee was on! Mom and I danced to some of the music and then I took a bath. It's getting pretty close to bedtime now.

Tomorrow is not a long day for Mom because little work doesn't start again until next week. Yippee!! :)

Back To Life

Monday. It found me. Nothing to do but put on cute clothes and face it!!

But don't mess with me, Monday. I'm not kidding.

It was a pretty good day. Mom was sad to leave this morning. She kissed me a bunch. Grandmom took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. After my day there, I went to Aunt Mere's. Today was Colin's day of birth! He's been on the outside for 9 years! He's a lot older than me and can teach me lots. Grandmom and Granddad came to Aunt Mere's, too. And Gramme and Grandpa John. The people with teeth had dinner. Mom said that it wasn't Colin's real birthday party. She said we'll have that in a few weeks. She said Aunt Mere and Uncle Corey like to wait a little while until the dust from Christmas settles before they have the birthday party. I didn't know that Christmas was dusty. Oh well.

At any rate, we had a good time celebrating Colin's day of birth. Parties (or fake parties, or celebrations, or gatherings...whatever) make me happy!!

Mom says there are only 18 more big work Mondays until summer vacation! :)

It's Over...

What a great vacation!! I've had so much fun staying home with Mom, celebrating holidays, going on adventures, and playing! Today we went to Grandmom and Granddad's to play. When we came home, Mom let me play on the floor. I did my rolling over trick. AND I got to pet Sadie!

Wait a minute... What do you mean it's over?!? Tomorrow is Monday and Mom has to go back to big work?!?

I don't like that. I think I'll hide!

Can you see me??

Maybe I'll kung fu kick Monday...

Or blow raspberries at it...

Or maybe I have to face it head on.

But I sure am going to miss these fun, happy days with Mom!

A Holiday??

This day was a holiday?? They should call it "Lazy Day". Where was the excitement? Where were all the people?!?! I'm so confused.

It was a lazy day around here. I didn't wake up until almost 9:00. All that "ringing in the New Year" really wore me out. I had a snack and watched the Backyardigans and had a nap. After my nap, I watched something called the "Rose Parade" with Mom. There were big things called "floats" covered in lots of flowers and plants. They were very pretty. And there were marching bands making good music. It was pretty cool.

After the parade, I took a bath and got dressed. Mom said I looked like a little monkey convict that escaped from monkey jail.

I tried to get her after that. I didn't think it was nice, but it was a little bit funny!

After I was dressed, we watched football. A lot of football. That was fine with me. I love football! We watched Florida win. (I don't like them, but it was good for the SEC.) We watched Alabama win. (I really don't like them, but it was good for the SEC.) We watched part of the game that TCU won. (I think a Horned Frog is a funny mascot.) I took a few naps during the football viewing.

I really tried to talk to Sadie today. She's starting to be a little more friendly. Sometimes she'll look at me and sometimes she gets close enough that I can really see her. I've even managed to pet her a few times with Mom's help. I want to be her friend. Mom says that Sadie really loves me, but she's afraid she'll get in trouble if she gets too close to me. I guess I understand. She's a very good dog. :)

I still can't believe this day was a holiday. Was there a party somewhere that I just missed??

At any rate, Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!

The day called New Year's Eve. Not too shabby. After a regular morning, Mom and I got ready and went to have lunch with Mrs. Chalica.

They ate some Mexican food that looked really yummy. Mom said she thinks I will like Mexican food when I get older. :)

After lunch, I was exhausted so I took a really long nap. I woke up, watched some football, and took another nap.

After the second nap, Mom said it was time to get ready for game day. What?!? A game?!? My Gamecocks?!? Wahoooooo!!

I got all ready and we went to Aunt Mere's house. Grandmom and Granddad were there too! The people with teeth ate the food called pizza and then the Gamecocks came on.

It didn't go so well. The Gamecocks made a lot of mistakes. And the very bad boy on the other team gave Marcus Lattimore something called a concussion and made it so Marcus couldn't play anymore. Not nice.

The game got so aggravating that we decided to play a game of our own. It was called Clue. We had to be super detectives and figure out a mystery. That game didn't go so well either. We were distracted.

At the end, the Gamecocks lost their game. It was an extra game called a "bowl". I thought that's what you put cereal in.... Mom says I won't get to see my Gamecocks again until late summer. This is what I say to that. And to tonight's game...

Mom and I came home to "ring in the new year", whatever that means. I didn't hear any bells, but apparently it is not 2010 anymore. A new year has begun. 2011. Look out, here I come!
