Ten Months!

I'm ten months old now!!! Today was my monthiversary and I had a pretty good day! Mom and I got up this morning and I had my morning snack. We played for a little bit and then Mom had to get to work on her big cake. I played and watched the Backyardigans while she worked. After a while, I needed another snack and a nap.

After my nap, I played and played. Mom said it was silly for me to crawl through my big toy. :)

I had a new food for lunch today. Sweet potatoes and corn. I really liked it. :) After lunch, I took a bath. Mom says I've gotten too adventurous in the little tub, so I get to take a bath in the big tub now. Aunt Mere sent this thingamabob for me to sit in when I'm in the big tub. I liked it a lot!!

After my bath, I took another nap. When I woke up, Aunt Mere, Colin, and Brenna were here!! Brenna had picked out a present for me! It's a llama. I named him Jammies because he is from the book called Llama Llama Red Pajama. I played with Brenna. :)

She helped me work on my laptop. :)

Later this afternoon, Mom and I went to Grandmom and Granddad's to get my clothes. Then we went to dinner with Grandmom and Granddad. I had a lot of fun playing in my seat at the restaurant and Mom let me taste something called a "hushpuppy"! (It is not in any way associated with a dog.) After the big people's dinner, Mom and I came home. I've had my dinner now and I'm very tired. My tenth monthiversary was a good one!! :)

Friday the 13th

Apparently, Friday the 13th makes people nervous. This irrational fear is called "friggatriskaidekaphobia". (I did some research.) Since today was Friday the 13th, I did not want to get out of bed. I drank my morning bottle while I was asleep. Mom changed my diaper and my clothes while I was asleep. She brushed my hair and put my bow in while I was asleep. I woke up a little bit for pictures.

I woke up a little more when I had to get into my car seat. My piggies were doing funny things.

I had a pretty good day today. I went to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Grandmom picked me up today. She and Granddad brought me home.

As soon as I got home, Mom changed my clothes and put me back in my car seat. :/ She said we had to go to big work. Me?!? On the way, she said we weren't going to the school. She said we were going to something called "Relay for Life". Mom explained that it was a big party/celebration to collect money for something called the "American Cancer Society". According to Mom, "cancer" is a bad, bad sickness. It's a disease. It's way worse than a runny nose. Mom says that this disease makes people so sick and they have to fight and fight to get better. She says that sometimes the disease is so mean that people don't get better at all. In general, I think this "cancer" is very, very mean. At any rate, this "Relay for Life" is an even to raise money to help people try to figure out how to get rid of "cancer". Big work had a tent at the event and Mom had to go, so I got to go along. I got to see some of Mom's children from school. I got to see Mr. Mike, Mrs. Kelly, and the girls that came to see me when I was first on the outside. I got to see Ms. Melissa. And I got to play with some of the ladies from big work. I had the most fun playing with Mrs. Lesley.

We stayed at the Relay until it was dark. We listened to music and talked and played. Mom and I were getting tired, so we came home. When we got home, I got into my pajamas and ate dinner. It was a busy day and I'm tired. Time for bed! Friday the 13th wasn't so bad!!

Blog Fail

Aah!! My blog was BROKEN last night!! They called it "maintenance", but I thought that meant fixing something, not breaking it!!!

Anyway, here's the scoop:

I had a good day! Mom didn't have to go to big work on time. She got to go in late because of the effects of the bad storm. She took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. I had a good day there. Grandmom picked me up and I played at her house until Mom came. (Mom was baking cakes.)

We came home after Mom ate dinner. I took a bath and ate dinner. Mom baked more cakes. I got to play with my toys for a little while. I like to build a little toy mountain to climb on.

After I played, I went to sleep. So that's what was up with yesterday. I'll let you know about today when it's finished!! :) Hopefully they won't do more "maintenance" any time soon!!!

The Calm After The Storm

Wow. We had a serious storm last night. Mom was very upset about it. She said she was up for a long time, checking on me and checking on Sadie. I was asleep. Mom doesn't like it when storms come.

Because of the storm, we had a very interesting day. The most interesting part was that Mom didn't have to go to big work. She said that the schools didn't have any power. No lights. Since she didn't have to go to big work, I didn't have to go to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. We stayed at home and had a fun day!!

After playing this morning, I took a nap. When I woke up, it was lunch time. After my lunch, Mom and I went to Periwinkle so Mom could have lunch too. I played with Mrs. Patti!

She gave me a cupcake!!! :)

And I made a mess!!

After our visit with Mrs. Patti, we got back in the car. I went to sleep. When I woke up, we were in a strange place. Mom was in a chair with a funny cape all over her and a lady with scissors was messing with her head! Mom said it was okay. She was just getting her hair cut. Eep! I'm not sure I want anybody to cut me!! Mrs. Mandy was really nice though. :)

After Mom finished getting cut, we came home. I had a snack and played. Then Mrs. Tracey came! (Mom made a cake for her this morning.) Mrs. Tracey, Mom and I went out for dinner at the place called Outback. We had fun! :)

Today was a pretty great day for me! I'm really sorry that lots of people have no lights and that some people's houses got broken. :( I really enjoyed spending the day with Mom, though! Mom says that life will be like that for us pretty soon.

I'm looking forward to the thing called Summer. :)

My New Friend

What do you mean it's only Tuesday?!? Ugh. I just cannot face this day without a Wonder Pet. I choose Turtle Tuck.

The Wonder Pets make me happy. See my silly grin?? (With my "hillbilly teeth"??)

I gave Turtle Tuck a good talking to and then I had to go to work. Or to school. Or to Mrs. Leigh Ann's.

I had a good day. It was Mom's long day at big work (or only work, right now) so I played at Grandmom and Granddad's until she came to get me. After she came to get me, Mom took me to meet my new friend Bradyn! He is smaller than me and can't do any of the things I can do like crawl or stand up or eat snacks or say "Mama". He was cute though. I know we'll be very good friends when he gets to be a little bit older. :)

I had fun visiting with Aunt Krystle , Uncle Chris, and Bradyn. I got to see Bailey the Dog and Chloe the Cat, too. I tried to make friends with Chloe, but I don't think she wanted a new friend. She ran away. :/ Mama Marsha came in while we were there too! And Krystle's granddad. I got to see Bradyn's room, too. There are elephants in there!!! :)

Mom said we'll go back to see Bradyn again soon. When we came home, I took a bath and had dinner. I'm ready for bed now. Maybe Wednesday will bring another adventure!

Yoga

Oh, Monday. Only two more of you to go!! Mom and I got up and got ready for our day.

I did my exercises. First, I had to stretch my right leg....

Then I needed to taste my toes to make sure they were ok...

Then the left leg....

Now both legs...

Whew! That was great. I had a good day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's today. After school, Grandmom and Granddad brought me home. (Mom had to be home so the lady could come pick up her Yo Gabba Gabba cake. Too bad. I loved that cake.) I played while Mom, Grandmom, and Granddad ate dinner. And I climbed Mount Anna...

Mom told me it was dangerous. Right after she took my picture doing it...

Now I've had my bath and my dinner and I'm ready for bed. Don't forget to do your exercises tomorrow!!

Mom

Today was the day called Mother's Day. We had a very full, very busy day!

As far as I can tell, Mother's Day is a special day that is set aside for us to tell our moms how much we love them and how much we appreciate them. No problem! I've got this...

I started out the day by softly saying "Ma-Ma" into the little spaceship thingy in my room that sends sounds into Mom's room. When Mom showed up at my door, I was standing in my crib smiling at her. She smiled back, scooped me up, gave me lots of kisses and told me she was glad to see me. :) We went to her room, she gave me a snack, and then we played in her bed while she watched a movie.

After the movie, we got all clean and dressed. When we were ready, we headed out for church. I was not in any kind of mood for church today. Usually, I sit there like a good girl, but it was very hot in there and I was feeling pretty squirmy. Mom and I went to the nursery to play.

After church, we went to Grandmom and Granddad's. I took a nap. When I woke up, everybody was there! Well, almost everybody. Grandmother, Granddaddy, Grandmom, Granddad, Granny Kat, Uncle Hoppy, Uncle Corey, Aunt Meredith, Katie, Bobby, Colin, and Brenna! (Uncle Brent, Aunt Deborah, Pete, and Helena couldn't come. I missed them!)

I had my picture made with Granny Kat because she was upset about the whole Aunt Trina at Charanda episode last week... And because I love her. :) (I would like to point out that she had a terrible time keeping her eyes open. Mom had to take about a zillion pictures.)

The people with lots of teeth ate their lunch and then I had mine. After that, we went outside to take some pictures. Here's me and Mom...

I got tired of taking pictures outside, so I went back inside.

But Mom said we weren't finished, so we went back outside. I took pictures with Grandmother, Grandmom, Aunt Mere, and Mom...

And we took this picture, too. Mom says it's very special to have a picture with four generations in it. She says I am very lucky to know Grandmom's Mom. She says that lots of little girls don't get to know their Great Grandmothers. She also says that she wishes I could have know Granddad's Mom. Mom misses her a lot. But I know Grandmother Auten!! And I love her!! :)

After all of these pictures, Mom let me change clothes so I could play. Then, of course, she took some more pictures.

That was okay. I like being outside! :)

When we went back inside, we gave Grandmom her presents. I played in my big toy. After a little while, everybody from Lancaster left. I got very tired, so I took a nap. When I woke up, Mom and I came home.

Mom had to make a cake tonight, so I played in my big toy and watched the Wonder Pets. I'm getting pretty tired now, so I'd better wrap this up.

I love Mom. She takes care of me. She helps me when I need help. She feeds me when I'm hungry and helps me go to sleep when I am tired. She plays with me and lets me have fun. She gives me hugs and kisses and tells me that she loves me. And she says that when she's having a bad day, I make her feel better. I think we're a good team, me and Mom.
