And We're Back...

Whatever was wrong seems to be okay now. I had a pretty good day yesterday. Not getting up early on a Monday morning was great!! After my swimming adventure, I slept for 12 hours! Mom says that's a lot!

When I woke up, I got to do something new! Mom called it "breakfast". She gave me food before my bottle! Cereal and fruit! Oh boy! I could get used to this!! After breakfast, we got clean and dressed.

We had to go to the store called WalMart. We bought groceries and then we came home. I was exhausted from the trip, so I took a nap. Later on, I had some lunch. Then Granny Kat and Bobby came by! They brought Mom some lunch and played with me while Mom made a cake. We followed the Gamecocks while they were finishing up their baseball game from Sunday. (They got stopped Sunday because of a storm.) The Gamecocks won, so they get to play again this weekend! Go Cocks!!

Mom and I napped and played for the rest of the day until it was time for dinner and bed. I think I like this "summer" thing...

Big Pool!!!

Sunday Funday!! Mom and I watched Sesame Street in her bed this morning. Then I played and took a little nap. After my nap, I got dressed.

Mom and I had to wait on a lady to come get a cake. Then we went to see Grandmom and Granddad. I took a tiny nap on the way there. I ate my lunch as soon as I got there. (Vegetable chicken and mango smoothie, if you were wondering, Granny Kat.) Mom ate her lunch, too. I played for a little while and then we got ready to go. Mom said we were going to see Brenna and Colin. I fell asleep in the car.

When I woke up, we weren't at Brenna and Colin's house. We were outside at their Gramme and Grandpa John's house! At the BIG pool!!! Woo!!! Mom said I could get in as soon as I put on my bathing suit! I got dressed and got in! Mom held me.

I liked it. :)

Then Mom let me stand on the step. I stood there for a long time. Sometimes I even let go of Mom's hand! Mom said I was brave.

Uncle Corey took me out for a swim.

Then Aunt Mere gave me a flotation device! Mom said I could just call it a float. It was like my own little pool chair!!

I played in the pool for a long time!! I swam with Mom, Uncle Corey, Colin, Aunt Mere, and Colin and Brenna's Gramme and cousin, Kaelin. Brenna was napping. When Brenna woke up, a storm was coming, so we had to get out of the pool. I had a snack.

The storm got closer and we went inside. I played inside Gramme and Grandpa John's house for a little while. Then Mom and I came home. I fell asleep in the car. I'm exhausted. I only woke up to eat and write this. I loved the big pool. I hope I get to go back again soon. It was so nice of Gramme and Grandpa John to let me come swimming at their house!! Now back to bed I go!!

Swimmin'

I had a great day today! This morning, I played and took a nap while Mom made a couple of cakes. Typical Saturday stuff.

After lunch, Mom put me in my car seat and we went somewhere. I don't know where we went. I fell asleep in the car and by the time I woke up, we were back home. Weird.

After that, I got to go swimming. :)

Mom put my hair in piggy tails.

I had so much fun splashing in the water!

After I went swimming, I took a bath and a nap. I played with Mom for the rest of the day. And I cheered for my Gamecocks as they won their baseball game!! YAY!!

School's Out!!

School's out for summer!!! That means no more big work for Mom for a while!! Every day will be like Saturday!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!

I had a great day today. It was a pretty normal day. I can't wait for all the fun things that Mom and I will do together in this time called summer. Call me or text me if you want to hang with us. I'll keep the phone handy!

Grandmom

Mom got up early this morning! (She had a cake to make.) I got up early, too. This morning was weird because I wasn't on my usual going-to-school schedule.

Before I left, I read Llama Llama Red Pajama. I love that book!!!

I had a great day today. I played with my friends at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Mrs. Leigh Ann got a pool for us so we could go swimming!!! :)

I chilled at Grandmom and Granddad's this afternoon until Mom came to get me. She picked me up and we went home and changed clothes. Then she told me we were leaving again. We went to a restaurant called Tropical Escape to eat dinner. Dinner was really a party for Grandmom. Lots and lots of her friends were there. Grandmom didn't know they were coming. She didn't know we were coming either!! Mom said that it was a "surprise party". We had a party for Grandmom because she is "retiring". I had to ask Mom what that meant. Mom says that it means that Grandmom doesn't have to go to her big work anymore. Mom says that Grandmom has worked very hard for 40 years to teach the children of York about history and geography and South Carolina. I know that Grandmom is a great teacher. Grandmom is great at everything! I think Grandmom will miss teaching the children, but she can teach Pete, Helena, Colin, Brenna, or me any time she wants now!! Hooray Grandmom!!!

The dinner was nice. I had a bottle in my high chair....

I also ate something called an "orange" from Mom's plate. Oh, and I got some of Grandmom's pretty cake, too!

When Mom and I finally came home, (I fell asleep in the car) I ate my dinner, put on my pajamas, and got ready for bed. That is where I'm heading now.

My Hair

When I woke up this morning, Mom said I had a mohawk of curls. She said I had "bed head". When I got dressed, she couldn't get my hair to stay down. She put it in a ponytail. See??

I had a great day. I played at Mrs. Leigh Ann's, hung out at Grandmom and Granddad's, and went to Aunt Mere's. Mom picked me up from Aunt Mere's after she had gotten most of her cake work done. We came home and I played for a little while, took a bath, and ate dinner. It's time for bed now.

We're getting even closer to the day that big work is over for the summer!!
