The Mountains

What a day!!

Mom and I got up this morning and immediately got ready to leave. I didn't even get to watch Moose and Zee!! Mom said we had to go because I slept late and we were late. For what?? I thought we were on vacation...

Well, we went to Aunt Mere's. Pretty soon after we got there, we got in her car and left. Aunt Mere, Mom, Colin, Brenna, and I were in the car for a long time. I took a nap. When I woke up, Mom said we had reached our destination. We were way up high near the sky. We were in the mountains. When Mom opened the car door, to my surprise, Uncle Brent was there!! Woo hoo!! I love playing with Uncle Brent! Grandmom, Granddad, Pete, and Helena were there too!! Oh boy! I knew this was going to be a fun day!

After I had a snack, I started playing. I played with Pete. I really wanted to play with his iPod. I was pretty sure I could play Angry Birds.

I played and played. I was having such a good time! Aunt Deborah showed up a little later. She had to run some errands this morning, so she wasn't there when we got there! As the people with lots of teeth were getting ready for lunch, I was getting tired. I took a really great nap on Helena's sleeping bag!

When I woke up from my nap, Aunt Mere rescued me from the room where I had been sleeping. I was glad to see that everyone was still there!

I was really hungry when I woke up, so Mom got my lunch ready and fed me. Peas and pears. Not very exciting, but satisfying. After lunch, I played with Uncle Brent some more.

Aunt Deborah took me out on the porch. I could see the big kids playing outside. I was pretty sure I wanted to be out there with them.

I had fun with Aunt Deborah. :)

Helena came inside and played with me. I think she thought we were having a staring contest. I definitely won. :)

Aunt Deborah came in and gave Mom a cookie. I was very interested in it. Aunt Deborah said it was called "koulourakia". Aunt Deborah's family is Greek and Mom says they make lots of yummy things like these cookies. I was very interested in this koulourakia cookie wookie thingy. So interested, in fact, that I took it right out of Mom's hand and ate it myself! Hahahaha!!! It was very yummy!

Pete had been trying to get me to sit with him all day, but I had been very squirmy. He was very happy when I finally sat with him for a bit. (I was quite taken aback by his choice of shirt, but I love him anyway.)

After lots of good times, it was time to come back home. We all loaded up and made the trip back down the mountain. We were in the car for a long time again. I took another nap. When we got back to Aunt Mere's, I had a snack and watched a movie called Toy Story with Brenna. Then Mom and I came home. I had dinner and got ready for bed.

Today was a great day! I had so much fun playing with my cousins and everybody else. I hope I get to see Uncle Brent, Aunt Deborah, Pete, and Helena again soon!!

Oh, and Mom says we will get my pictures back from Mrs. Erin tomorrow! I am loving this thing called Spring Break!!

Pudding and Fries!!!

Woo hoo!! Monday morning and NO work!!! YES!

Mom and I had kind of a relaxing day.

First, Mom had to do something called "taxes". She didn't seem to be having much fun. I was playing. :) Then I took a nap. After my nap, I took a bath and ate lunch. I had a new food! It was called "Vanilla Custard Pudding with Bananas". Sounds fancy. It was yummy. After lunch, Mom and I played some more and I took another nap. When I woke up, Aunt Krystle was here!! She came to visit. I was glad to see her. Baby Brayden will be on the outside soon! I can't wait to meet him! After Aunt Krystle left, I watched one of my Backyardigans DVDs. In my chair! I also had a snack. Puffs.

After the Backyardigans, Mom and I went to see Aunt Mere. I played at her house for a while. The people with lots of teeth ate dinner. I sat in Brenna's high chair while they ate. Aunt Mere shared some of her sweet potato fries with me! They were so good!!! I was VERY excited about them!

Now that we're home, I've had my regular dinner and I'm ready for bed. Mom says we're going on an adventure tomorrow to some place called "the mountains". I don't know what that's all about....

Look, I remembered!!

I had a good day today! First, Mom and I got up and played. Then I got dressed up in a pretty dress, sweater (it was a little chilly out), and my new sandals.

I sang to my Sing-a-ma-jig and then Mom and I went to church.

Church took a long time, but I got to see a lot of nice people! :)

After church, we went to Grandmom and Granddad's. Mom took me outside to take some pictures. I saw an interesting animal called a "lizard". It was blue like the baby chameleon on the Wonder Pets, but it was not a chameleon. Upon further research, I have discovered that he was most likely a "southeastern five-lined skink".

It was a really pretty day!

I was feeling silly!

I had carrots for lunch again. Then I took a very long nap while the Gamecocks beat the Vanderbilt Commodores on the baseball field. Yay!! After my nap, Mom and I came home to play. We played for a while and then I took another nap. Sundays make me tired.

Usually on Sunday night, I am bummed out because our busy week is about to begin again. Not this time!! No big work tomorrow!!! I wonder what Mom and I will do.....

Vacation Brain!!

Oh, what a great Saturday!!!

Apparently, I have vacation brain! This makes two nights in a row that I've gone to bed without blogging!! I'm going to have to straighten up!

I had a great day yesterday. Mom and I stayed home all day long, and that was fine with me! Yesterday morning, we played and I took a few naps. At lunch time, I had a new food. Carrots. They're orange, which automatically makes them iffy. They were okay, though. A little messy. After lunch, I took a bath and took a nap. During my nap, Grandmom and Granddad came. I woke up just as they were leaving, but at least I got some hugs!

Suddenly, I noticed this new toy in my floor!

It was my kitchen that Santa brought for me! Mom had put it away so that I wouldn't have too many new things to play with at once right after Christmas. Silly Mom. It was good though, because I can play with it better now that I know how to sit up by myself!

It's pretty neat. It talks and sings. It has a pot to play with, too.

And carrots. I thought I was supposed to eat them since that's what I had for lunch.

I really enjoyed playing with my kitchen!

Later in the afternoon, Uncle Corey, Aunt Mere, Colin, and Brenna came by. I was totally asleep while they were here. Uncle Corey came to move my crib. Yesterday morning, I figured out how to stand up in it! Mom was not happy!! She said, "No, no, no, baby!!!" Haha. I'm learning lots of new things!! Mom said my bed had to get lowered so I would be safe. Good call!

Mr. Glenn came back to play with me, too. I showed him how my new kitchen works. He brought Mom a big thing (I don't know what it's called..oh, wait...Mom says it's a vase) with elephants on it! He said it was a thank you for that thing she drew on his arm. He must know I love elephants!! He wanted a new picture on his arm, too, so Mom drew that. I had fun playing with him and teaching him about The Backyardigans.

Even though Mom and I didn't leave home, we had a pretty full day! I bet today will be great, too! I've got to get ready for my activities! I'll try not to be such a slacker tonight!

Uh Oh!!

Oops! I got so excited that the thing called Spring Break has finally arrived that I forgot to blog last night!!

Yesterday was a busy day! Let me catch you up!

Grandmom came to get me so I could go to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. I had a good day there!

Mom came to get me and we went to Grandmom and Granddad's. Granddad had done our laundry today, so we had to pick it up. After we visited, we stopped at the place called WalMart. It wasn't so bad this time.

When we got home, I had a package from Grandma and Grandpa!! Yippee!!! The card had sparkly little chicks on it for Easter. :)

I loved the bag with the cute bunny on it!

My package had cute dresses in it!

And some more cute clothes and a big girl cup with elephants on it!! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!! :)

After I opened my package, Mrs. Anne came by to visit. She said she needed some Anna hugs. :) She played with me and talked to mom for a while. After she left, I played for a while, ate my dinner, and got ready for bed.

The thing called Spring Break has finally arrived. Mom says that it means that she doesn't have to go to big work for 9 days. She says that we will get to stay home together and do things together every day for two weekends and a whole week! I'm pretty excited about it!

Nine Months!!

Oh my goodness!! It's my monthiversary!! I'm nine months old today!! Can you believe it?? Nine months on the outside!!

I had a good day. Grandmom took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Aunt Mere picked me up and took me to Grandmom's. Mom came quickly. No extra big work or little work today!! I was excited!!

Oh, hey, guess what?!? I can crawl like a big girl! Up on my knees instead of dragging my little body along the floor! Mom made a video with her phone, but I can't figure out how to upload it. Mom knows how, but she can't do it right now. I'll crawl for her again when she has the video camera handy. I know how to upload from there. :)

After my nap, we came home and I had my dinner and a bath. I'm ready to go to bed now. It made me tired to get a month older and learn to crawl!!!

Wednesday. Hump Day. It was super chilly this morning, so I wore a slightly warmer outfit. :)

I had a good day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Mom picked me up at Aunt Mere's after little work. I was asleep when she got there and was super surprised to see her when I woke up!

Mom ate dinner with Aunt Mere, Uncle Corey, and Colin and we came home after that. I took a bath and ate my dinner. Mom let me watch the Wonder Pets save the egg and the flamingo and now it's time for bed.

Mom says there's only two more days of big work to go... Woohoo!!! I'm ready for some fun!!
