Sweet Summertime!

Summertime is finally here!

Last week, Mom didn't have to go to big work because it was Memorial Day.  It was like a sneak preview into summer.  :)

The rest of last week, I had to follow my regular schedule.  Early mornings!

Friday was Mom's last day!!  Friday night, my Gamecocks played Manhattan in their regional tournament.  They won.  Yay!

On Saturday, Mom and I hung out at the house all day.  My Gamecocks played again at 4:00, but this time they played those Tigers from Clemson.  It was a very intense game, but after extra innings, my Gamecocks were victorious.  Granny Kat sent me a picture of Cocky from the game!  :)

Come to find out, my Gamecocks had to play those Tigers again on Sunday.  Are you kidding me?

I was very nervous watching the game on Sunday, but at the end of the day, the Gamecocks were winners again!!  They get to play in the Super Regionals this weekend!   Go Gamecocks!

Mom and I had a pretty low-key week.  On Monday, we had lunch with Granny Kat.  Tuesday and Wednesday, we played at the house.  I got to play with my new Play Doh!

On Thursday, I went to Lancaster to have lunch with Grandmother and Granddaddy.  That was fun.  Then we went shopping with Aunt Mere, Colin and Brenna.

Today was mostly calm.  After a very unfortunate diaper (or lack thereof) incident this morning, I just played while Mom did stuff.  We ran a couple of errands this afternoon.  Nothing too exciting.

Mom says that tomorrow, we are going to the beach.  I checked my archives and discovered that that is the place with the big water and the sandy sand.  Cool.  I'm sure I'll have lots of new adventures to tell you about!!

Party at Monkey Joe's

Today, I went to Monkey Joe's for Annabelle's 3rd birthday party.  When Mom said that's where we were going, I wasn't sure, but I got over it when I got there!

Monkey Joe's is a wonderland of bouncy fun!

It only took me a minute to figure out what to do!

I loved sliding!

I got to ride on the little merry-go-round, too!

We had cake and juice and Annabelle opened her presents.  Then we bounced some more.  I even went in the big bouncy place by myself.

After Monkey Joe's, we went to a Chinese buffet for lunch.  When we came home, I took a long nap!!  This fun weekend has really worn me out!

Best. Night. Ever.

Whoa.  Friday was a GREAT day!!

Granny Kat and Bobby picked me up from Mrs. Leigh Ann's early.  They took me to get a milkshake at TC's and I got to ride the train.  Then I went on some more adventures with them.  I saw Grandmother and Granddaddy and Lily the dog.  Then we picked Mom up at her school.  We were in the car for a while, but when we stopped, look where we were!

Carolina Stadium!!  Where my Gamecocks play baseball!!  WOOT!

I got to have my picture made with the National Championship trophies!

Then we went inside the stadium.  There was lots to see!!

We met up with Ms. Christy who was super nice and got us tickets.  She told us that if we'd hang around, Cocky would come to where we were standing.  Are you serious?!?  THE Cocky?!?!  She had to be kidding.

So we waited and waited.  And then suddenly, there he was!!  Cocky!!  For real!!  In the feathers!!  It was too exciting for words!  Just check out my face!

I was starstruck.

And overjoyed.

Mom and I waited our turn.

And then he came to me!!  To ME!  Anna!!  Cocky came to see me!!

I blew him kisses.

He was SO friendly.

I told him I loved him.

Meeting Cocky was a very huge experience!!

After we saw Cocky, we went to our seats for the game.  Mom got me something to eat.

I enjoyed watching the game.

Sometimes, it got very exciting!!

Sometimes it was too much to take in.

In the middle of the game, I got tired of sitting, so Mom, Bobby, and I went for a walk.  We walked all around the stadium.  While we were walking, the Gamecocks came alive!  Christian Walker (I named my bear after him last year) hit a home run and the stadium got VERY loud.  I got a little scared, but I was ok.  I also got to see Sir Big Spur while we were on our walk.  (For those of you who might not know, he is a real, alive-and-breathing Gamecock.  It was exciting!

After our walk, Mom got me an Italian ice and we went back to our seats.

I got very tired and had to take a nap.

At the end of the game, the Gamecocks were the winners!  We went over to the dug out and saw some of the players up close.  Bobby got some autographs on his baseball.  I was barely awake, so I just watched.

We had a great night at Carolina Stadium!!!

Mother's Day

May 13th was Mother's Day!  I was extra nice to Mom all day long.  We had a nice morning together and then we went to Aunt Mere's house.  Everybody came from Lancaster, too.  Uncle Brent couldn't come this time.

As usual, we took some pictures.

We had a yummy lunch and then we played together.  It was raining, so we couldn't play outside.  That was ok.  We had fun anyway!  I love my Mom!!

Strawberry Festival!

On April 28, Mom, Aunt Mere, Colin, Brenna, and I went to the Bush-n-Vine for the Strawberry Festival!

We put our heads in this silly thing...

We went into the strawberry patch and picked our own strawberries!  Mom said I was eating them as fast as she could pick them!

I needed them!!  I was working hard!!

As a reward for all of my hard work in the strawberry patch, Mom got me a strawberry slush.  It was SO good!!  :)

I love it when we do fun activities!!

My Friend

Ever since I've lived here, I've had a very good friend.  When I first met her, I realized that she didn't look like all of the other people.  She was short.  And she was furry.  And she walked on four legs instead of two.  She had long ears and a short tail that moved really fast when she was happy.  That first day that I met her, Mom told me that her name was Sadie and that she would be my friend and take care of me.

Mom was right.  From the very beginning, Sadie watched out for me.  She kept watch over me while I was napping.

When I got bigger, Sadie would talk to me and keep me company.

At first, Sadie wasn't sure about letting me touch her.  But as I got bigger, she started to let me pet her and hug her.  Mom said she was scared at first because I was so little and she didn't want to hurt me by accident.  After a while, though, Sadie loved letting me rub her soft fur as much as I loved rubbing it.

Sadie and I took lots of naps together.

Mom said we were so sweet when we were napping.  :)

No matter what I was doing, Sadie always kept a watchful eye on me.  She protected me and loved me.  She helped me eat my food.  Sometimes, she even kissed me.

On April 15, after being Mom's best friend for 14 years and my best friend for my whole life, Sadie left us.  Mom says that Sadie was just so tired from being such a great friend that her little furry body was just worn out.  Mom has been so sad since our Sadie went away.  Sometimes she cries and I have to give her extra hugs and kisses.

Mom and I will always love Sadie, even though she isn't with us anymore.  I hope she has found a nice place to play with lots of soft blankets for when she needs to take a nap.  I miss her.

I love you, Sadie.

Easter

On the last Sunday of Spring Break, we celebrated Easter!

Saturday, we dyed Easter Eggs.  It was weird.

On Sunday morning, I woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had left surprises in my basket!!  :)

I love my new magnet board and phonics magnets!!

After I played with my new stuff, Mom and I got dressed and went to church.  I was so surprised when Uncle Brent, Aunt Deborah, Pete and Helena were there!!

After church, we went to Aunt Mere's.  First we had to take a lot of pictures.  With my cousins...

And by myself...

And with Mom.

Then we had a yummy lunch with our family from Lancaster!  After lunch, we played outside.  I had so much fun playing with my cousins!!  :)
