The Meeting

Quick catch up: Sunday, Mom and I had lunch at Grandmom and Granddad's and went to church Sunday night to hear Granddad sing. Monday was our first real day of vacation and the highlight was a trip to WalMart for groceries. Now...

Today was a great day! Early this morning, Mom and I got ready to go and we went to Lancaster. After a brief visit with Grandmother and Granddaddy Auten, Mom, Granny Kat, and I went in Granny Kat's car. On our way, we picked up Auntie Trina. We were in the car for a long time. I took a nap. When I woke up, we went to the Gamecock store! I had so much fun riding around saying "Gamecock!" at everything! After the store, we went to Rush's. I had my very own cheeseburger! It was great! Then we went to another Gamecock store. It was there that it happened. I looked up and I saw Connor Shaw. (For those of you non-Gamecock followers, he's our starting quarterback.) I told Mom to look and then she told Auntie Trina. Auntie Trina flipped out and practically ran to the back of the store to tell Granny Kat. At that point, these three grown women completely freaked out. None of them were making any sense. I was a little embarrassed to be seen with them. They were acting like loony birds. Finally, Auntie Trina got up enough nerve to talk to him. He was very nice. He let us have our picture made with him.

He held my hand and told me that his little sister's name was Anna too! Wow!! Mom and Auntie Trina and Granny Kat did not get over this meeting for the rest of the day. They are hilarious people.

After the meeting, we went to one more Gamecock store before we came home. We dropped Auntie Trina off at her house. She gave me my Christmas present. It's a Gamecock chair! I love it. I would show you a picture of me sitting in it, but my computer won't work. Sigh. Just imagine it, ok? Anyway, after we dropped her off, I played at Grandmother and Granddaddy's house for a little bit. Bobby and Uncle Hoppy were there. I think Bobby was bummed because he didn't get to meet Connor Shaw like I did. Poor Bobby. (I don't feel that sorry for him though, because he met Coach Tanner and Scott Wingo a few weeks ago. And he's met the HBC. As a matter of fact, hush, Bobby. I'm jealous!)

After a little bit of playing and stretching, Mom and I came home. We had dinner and I played. I was especially interested in Sadie tonight, as she has had her hair
cut. She looks like a different dog. I had to make sure it was her, so I got right in her face and asked her. I'm pretty sure it's her.

It's been a pretty exciting day, so I think I'll go to bed. Goodnight!
