Thursday At The Beach

This morning, we decided not to go to the beach. We woke up kind of late. We decided to go to the pool instead. That was fine with me. I got to ride in my boat. Grandmom played with me in the pool.

I played in the pool for a little bit. Then I sat on Grandmom's lap and took a nap in the shade. When I woke up, I played in the baby pool. I splashed and splashed and wouldn't let Mom help me very much. (That probably wasn't a very good idea since the water was still pretty deep to me.)

I finally let Mom hold me.

After the pool, we went back to the house for lunch. After lunch, I took a nap. When I woke up, Grandmom and Granddad went home. I'll see them again soon.

After my bath, we went back to Broadway at the Beach. I didn't look for any singing and dancing this time. We went to a place to eat dinner. Well, the big people ate. I had a fried pickle, some bread, some french fries, and I tried something called "fish". It was pretty good. Then we walked around for a little while. Mom took my picture with Brenna and Colin. None of us were very interested in a photo shoot...

After we walked for a little bit longer, we went to a little place with some rides. Mom called it the "Fake Pavilion". I didn't know what that meant. She told me that when Grandmom was a little girl and when she was a little girl and up until just a few years ago, there was a great place called the "Pavilion". She said it was full of rides and games and a funny organ and fun and food that was really bad for you. She said she loved it very much because it was SO much fun. (She said "so" kinda like a crazy person...) A few years ago, some people lost their minds and tore down the fun place. Now it is just a bunch of grass and a few trees. Seems like a waste of perfectly good space to me. At any rate, they moved a few of the rides to Broadway at the Beach. (Mom seems very bitter about something called a "Tilt-A-Whirl" that didn't make the trip.) Tonight, I got to ride one of those rides. It was called a "carousel", or a "merry-go-round". I got to sit on a horse that went up and down while the carousel went around and around. Mom rode with me so I wouldn't fall off.

It was so fun!!! After my ride, I watched Brenna and Colin ride a few rides.

Then, Mom let me ride the carousel/merry-go-round again!! She held the camera this time. I had so much fun!!

It was so much fun that I totally fell out on the way home. I couldn't take one more minute of fun. Mom brought me inside, changed my clothes and everything. I didn't care.

I. Am. Beat.

Wednesday At The Beach

After breakfast this morning, I hit the beach with everyone, including Grandmom. (Granddad didn't come on the beach.)

I was not very interested in the beach today, so I slept the whole time.

After lunch, I stole Mom's Cheerwine. :)

Then we took a nap. After our nap, Aunt Mere, Brenna, Mom, and I went to the big swimming pool. It was super fun.

I got to ride in my new boat. :)

After the swimming, we got clean and dressed and went to dinner. I was very tired, so I slept on Mom's lap. After dinner, we went to a funny place. The big people were hitting a little ball with long sticks. They would hit it into a hole and then get it out again. Very peculiar. Mom said it was called "putt-putt". They seemed to be having fun. I think it was some kind of game.

I just rode around in my stroller. When we got back to the house, Grandmom and Granddad had returned from their trip to see Pete and Helena. I played with them for a few minutes. Now it's definitely time for bed. Catch you on the beach tomorrow!!

Tuesday At The Beach and A National Championship!!

What a great day!!! This morning, I had a yummy breakfast and then I got ready for the beach. I played in the sand with Colin. He wears funny things over his eyes.

I played in my pool with Brenna and her cousin, Macie.

I shared a frozen lemonade or two with Mom, Brenna, and my new pal, Macie.

I took a little nap on the beach and then I came back to the beach house. After lunch, I took a pretty good nap. When I woke up, Grandmom and Granddad were at the beach house too!! Whoa!! I took a bath and then we went to dinner.

After dinner, we came back to the beach house to watch the Gamecocks play in the second game of the College World Series Finals. I shared some ice cream with Mom.

My Gamecocks won their game 5-2. That means that they are the National Champions! The best team in college baseball. I knew that already.

I love my Gamecocks!! And I love the beach!! This has been a great week so far! And it's only Tuesday!!!

Monday At The Beach

This morning when I woke up, Granny Kat, Bobby, and Uncle Hoppy were still at our beach house! I had breakfast. After my yogurt, I tried Lucky Charms and something called "bacon". Both were quite tasty. After breakfast, I got my swimsuit and sunscreen on and headed to the beach!

I was glad to be on the beach, so I took off without Mom.

I was ready to play in the water.

I found a puddle to play in. (And dropped my pibey.)

Mom brought my pool so I could play in it. That was lots of fun!!

The beach will wear you out. I was exhausted, so I took a nap in my tent.

When I woke up, Granny Kat, Uncle Hoppy, and Bobby had gone home and we came back to the beach house. I changed clothes, had lunch, and played. Then Mom and I took a nap on her bed.

After our nap, we got clean and dressed. We went to a pizza place for dinner. I had some of Mom's Canadian bacon, pineapple, and green pepper pizza. It was super yummy.

(It was also game day. Please note my attire. A true fan does not vacation...)

After dinner, we went to a place called Broadway at the Beach. I thought there would be singing and dancing, but that was not the case. Instead, we went to a place called Build A Bear. I picked out this very skinny bear and a nice lady helped me make him fluffy. I picked out his heart and put it inside him.

We gave him a bath, named him, and bought him a shirt. (Mom said we won't always buy clothes at Build A Bear, but this time was special because it was my first time.) I named him Walker. He is a Gamecock bear. :)

We walked around the place for a little while and then we came home. We were just in time for the 9th inning of the baseball game!! The boys were losing, but they tied it up and eventually won the game in the 11th inning! It was so exciting! I enjoyed watching the game with Walker.

The Gamecocks have the chance to win the College World Series tomorrow. I think I'll be watching...

Back To The Beach!

Sunday at the beach! What a great day! After breakfast (and a doughnut), we got ready and headed down to the beach. The sand was still there...

I had such a great time! I played in the sand and crawled off into the ocean! I love the ocean! The waves came up and hit me in the face, but I didn't mind. It was so much fun!

I built sand castles with Brenna.

That was hard work.

I got very tired on the beach and needed a nap. When I woke up, I had a snack and then we came back to the beach house. I got hosed off outside and got dressed. I played for a little while and then I ate lunch. After lunch, Mom and I took a pretty long nap. When we woke up, we got clean and dressed.

Granny Kat, Uncle Hoppy, and Bobby were still at the beach. We went to dinner with them to a place called "California Dreaming". I had goldfish, french fries, grilled chicken, and something called a "croissant". It was just a fancy biscuit.

After dinner, we went to a place called "Painter's". For ice cream!!! Woo hoo!!! Mine was mint chocolate chip. (I think that's Mom's favorite...)

After the ice cream, we went back to the beach house. I had my cereal and played for a little while. It was a busy day!! More fun tomorrow!!

The Beach!!

Today things started to make more sense around here...

This morning, I had something special for breakfast. After my regular breakfast, Mom shared some of her breakfast with me. Uncle Hoppy had gone to a place called Krispy Kreme and gotten hot doughnuts. I really liked it. :)

After my doughnut and some playing, I took a really long nap. When I woke up, I had lunch and then Mom started doing stuff to me. She took my clothes and put my bathing suit on. She took me out in the yard and sprayed me down with that sunscreen stuff. Then, we got on a thing called a "golf cart" and went for a ride. I liked the wind in my face. :)

When the golf cart stopped, I thought we were going to play the game called "golf", but we actually went to a restaurant called the "Conch Cafe". I had french fries and pickles off of Mom's plate.

After the big people's lunch, we went on a little walk. When we stopped, Mom said we were on "the beach". Well, let me just tell you....the beach is a bunch of funny dirt called "sand" and a LOT of water. Mom said that water was called the "ocean". That's it. Dirt and water. Hm...I had to investigate further...

Mom took me down to the big water. I liked feeling it on my feet. The funny sand stuff did funny things on my toes, too.

Cheese!

After I played in the ocean for a little while, we went back and sat in our special beach chair. Mom made me wear my sunglasses.

And my hat. I got to sit in the sand and play with it. It feels weird.

The "beach" was too much for me. I was exhausted. But I found out that the beach is a nice place to take a nap.

I drove the golf cart on the way back to the beach house.

After that, Mom packed all of the stuff back into the car and we went to another strange house. Aunt Mere and the gang were there!! Woo hoo!! Mom said this would be where we stayed for the rest of the week. I played with Uncle Corey, Colin, and Brenna while Mom, Aunt Mere, and Bobby went to the grocery store.

When they came back, we went out to get dinner for the big people. We tried to get the food called "pizza", but those people were busy. We went to Bubba's Fish Shack instead. I had french fries, fried pickles, and shrimp. Yummy. :)

After dinner, we came back to the new beach house. I had my cereal and watched some tv. I'm awfully tired now. Mom says we're going back to the beach tomorrow. I wonder what else we will do...

The Trip

Early this morning, we left for our trip. We were in the car for a very long time. We stopped one time. I had a snack.

Finally, we stopped driving. Mom said we had made it to the beach. It just looked like a house to me....

Mom started working on a cake. (This did NOT feel like a vacation.) I got tired and took a nap.

After Mom's cake was ready, we went for a little ride to take the cake to the people who were going to eat it. Then we came back to the strange house. It was time for the Gamecocks to play ball. I was hoping they would win.

They played and played. I went to sleep. I woke up. They were still playing. They played for a long time because the score was stuck. Finally, my Gamecocks won!

Now they get to play in the big games!

Tomorrow, I hope to see what this "beach" thing is all about. I hope it's not just a strange house...

My Daily Photographer Is A Slacker

Mom failed to take a single picture of me today. Sorry.

I had a great day, though. After breakfast, Mom took me to Mrs. Leigh Ann's to play with my friends. Aunt Mere picked me up and took me to the library. I really enjoyed the show today. After that, I went to say goodbye to Grandmom and Granddad. Then I played at Aunt Mere's house for a little while until she and Brenna brought me home. Mom has been very busy today making cakes and getting ready for our trip. We leave in the morning!

On an exciting note, I took about 6 steps by myself tonight! I was walking to help Brenna with her puzzle. :)

Stay tuned...there will be lots of pictures and stories from our trip!!

Lunch Date, Hair, and Shopping!

Another busy day!! Wow!

First of all, I was so exhausted from our adventure yesterday that I slept until after 9:00 this morning. I had breakfast quickly, took a bath, and got dressed. Then Mom and I went to Charanda to meet Krystle, Bradyn, Jennifer, and Peyton. We had a fun lunch together. Bradyn is still really little (smaller than me!) and he slept most of the time. He woke up to talk to us for a minute though.

I had fun playing with Peyton. He hugged me and held my hand.

After lunch, Mom and I went to WalMart to get some stuff for cakes and our trip. When we came home, I took a nap. After my nap, we went to see Mrs. Mandy. Mrs. Mandy cut Aunt Mere's hair, Colin's hair, and Mom's hair.

After the hair shortenings, we went to Pineville to Old Navy, Buy Buy Baby, Babies R Us, Kohl's, Chick-Fil-A, and Target. Whew!

After all of that, I am exhausted! Goodnight!!

EdVenture Adventure!

What a fun day!! This morning, Mom and I got up and got dressed pretty quickly. Aunt Mere, Colin, and Brenna came to get us and we took off on an adventure!

When the car stopped, we were at a place I'd never been before. It's called EdVenture and Mom said that it is a special museum just for children! When we went inside, there was a giant chair and a giant child!! Mom said his name is Eddie...

I got to go inside Eddie. This is me with Brenna in his tummy....

After we played inside Eddie, we went grocery shopping. Mom said I'm "big on the pig" and I worked in the produce department.

Then we went to work on the farm. I helped Colin milk a cow, played with a dog and a goat, and drove a tractor!

Then we went to be firefighters. Check out my hat.

I even got to drive the fire truck! After that, I drove a car called a Beetle, did some construction, and worked in a restaurant! I also learned about the human body!

After that, I posed for a picture on the pretty South Carolina bench with Mom. :)

Then I got to go into a special part of the museum that is for little people like me. Mom and I played with the puppets. They were hilarious!

After that room, I learned about marsupials! (Those are animals that have pouches for their babies.)

The last room we went into was a music room. I played the piano and made music on the floor!!

We had such a good time today! After our EdVenture adventure, we went to Rush's for lunch and then we came home. I was so tired, so I took a very long nap!

When I woke up, my Gamecocks were playing! And they won!! Yay!

It was a great day!!
