Thursday At The Beach

This morning, we decided not to go to the beach. We woke up kind of late. We decided to go to the pool instead. That was fine with me. I got to ride in my boat. Grandmom played with me in the pool.

I played in the pool for a little bit. Then I sat on Grandmom's lap and took a nap in the shade. When I woke up, I played in the baby pool. I splashed and splashed and wouldn't let Mom help me very much. (That probably wasn't a very good idea since the water was still pretty deep to me.)

I finally let Mom hold me.

After the pool, we went back to the house for lunch. After lunch, I took a nap. When I woke up, Grandmom and Granddad went home. I'll see them again soon.

After my bath, we went back to Broadway at the Beach. I didn't look for any singing and dancing this time. We went to a place to eat dinner. Well, the big people ate. I had a fried pickle, some bread, some french fries, and I tried something called "fish". It was pretty good. Then we walked around for a little while. Mom took my picture with Brenna and Colin. None of us were very interested in a photo shoot...

After we walked for a little bit longer, we went to a little place with some rides. Mom called it the "Fake Pavilion". I didn't know what that meant. She told me that when Grandmom was a little girl and when she was a little girl and up until just a few years ago, there was a great place called the "Pavilion". She said it was full of rides and games and a funny organ and fun and food that was really bad for you. She said she loved it very much because it was SO much fun. (She said "so" kinda like a crazy person...) A few years ago, some people lost their minds and tore down the fun place. Now it is just a bunch of grass and a few trees. Seems like a waste of perfectly good space to me. At any rate, they moved a few of the rides to Broadway at the Beach. (Mom seems very bitter about something called a "Tilt-A-Whirl" that didn't make the trip.) Tonight, I got to ride one of those rides. It was called a "carousel", or a "merry-go-round". I got to sit on a horse that went up and down while the carousel went around and around. Mom rode with me so I wouldn't fall off.

It was so fun!!! After my ride, I watched Brenna and Colin ride a few rides.

Then, Mom let me ride the carousel/merry-go-round again!! She held the camera this time. I had so much fun!!

It was so much fun that I totally fell out on the way home. I couldn't take one more minute of fun. Mom brought me inside, changed my clothes and everything. I didn't care.

I. Am. Beat.
