The Day Called Memorial Day

Today was the day called Memorial Day. This is what I learned about that:

The day called Memorial Day is sort of like the day called Veterans Day. The day called Veterans Day is a day to say thank you to all of the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the military. The day called Memorial Day is a day to remember all of those brave people who fought and died to protect America. On this day, it does not hurt to say thank you to the Veterans as well. In fact, I think you're supposed to. So to all of those brave people, I say thank you!

The day called Memorial Day was GREAT! First, Mom didn't have to go to big work. Woo hoo!! After we chilled this morning, we got dressed and went to the Target store. Mom got some stuff we needed and a surprise for me for later. Then we went to the WalMart store. Mom had to get stuff to make her cakes for the week. We came home and I had lunch and took a nap. Great day so far!

When I woke up from my nap, Mom said I could have my surprise. Before I could have it, she said I had to change clothes. She got one of my bathing suits and a special kind of diaper and put them on me. Then we went outside. My surprise was a pool!! Woo!!!

I got to go swimming today for the first time! I had so much fun splashing in the water!! Mom tried to get me to wear my sunglasses, but they aggravate me.

Then she tried to make me wear my floppy sun hat. Also aggravating...

...but kind of funny!

I really loved my pool. I played for a long time!! I'm so cool. :)

After my swim, I got dry and dressed again. I was worn out, so I had a snack and took a nap. After my nap, Grandmom and Granddad stopped by. I played and played for the rest of the day.

Mom has to go back to big work tomorrow. She says she only has to go 4 more times, though. I'll be glad when she's finished. Then we can have more days like today!!!
