Picture Day!

OK, so when I got up, Mom said it was picture day. I have no idea how this was different from any other day. I've had a camera pointed at me and flashing me in the eyes since the minute I was born. But Mom seemed to think it was a big deal. Whatever, Mom.

This big event was supposed to happen later in the day, so the morning was pretty normal. Eat, take a bath, get dressed, have my picture made. (See what I mean??)

Everybody came for lunch. Typical Sunday.

Then Mom said it was time to get dressed. Um, I thought I was dressed already. She had on this fancy looking black dress and these shoes that made her taller. I'm not used to seeing her like that. Anyway, she took my perfectly good clothes off and put on these fancy pants (she called them bloomers) and this fancy dress. Then she put ruffly socks on my feet and then my little pink elephant shoes. Finally, she took my pink bow away and put in a white one. Then she took my picture. (There we go again...)

Then she put on my monogrammed bib. She said she didn't want me to spit up on my dress. (I don't think she trusts me.) Again, more pictures.

Then she stuck my in my car seat and took me to this place she called "church". She said we would start going there more often a little later on. She filled out some papers and when we went in this room with this man. He made Mom sit on a tiny stool and then he made me sit on a little table. They kept taking my pibey away and flashing me with this camera that had legs. It was weird and slightly annoying. I was glad when it was over.
Mom and I went back home when it was over. I got to put normal clothes back on and we enjoyed the rest of our day together.

  1. Has anyone told you your daughter has your sense of humor? :) I know I don't go to your church, but I'll be excited to see your directory pictures!!
