Beep

Oh, last night was not fun at my house. I went night night like a good girl. Poor Mom went night night too. Then the little spaceship thingy that she uses to hear into my room when she is asleep started beeping. Its little spaceship battery was dying. Poor Mom had to get up and turn it off. About an hour later, at 2:30, I started beeping. Well, not beeping actually. Crying. My nose was stuffy and I was coughing and I needed Mom's help. Poor Mom (who is quite sick herself) got up to help me. I was extra glad to have her to snuggle with me, so I went back to sleep after a quick snack. Mom says she didn't go to sleep quite as quickly. She was having trouble breathing. A short while later, at about 4:30, a new beep began in the house. Mom didn't know what it was at first. She only knew it was loud. Then she figured it out. The little spaceship thingy in my room that freaks out if there is a fire or smoke was beeping. Its little spaceship battery was dead too! What's the deal with these battery things?!?? Mom let me curl up in her bed and she went and climbed a ladder to take the battery thingy out. Unfortunately, that did not stop the beeping. She needed a new battery. Super unfortunately, she didn't have one. The beeping continued. For the rest of the night. Mom didn't get to sleep again. I went back to sleep in Mom's bed. At 5:15, Mom's phone alarm started beeping. Time to start the day....

I knew Mom was tired and sad about not getting to sleep, so I was super cheerful. :)

My pants have buttons. See them?

They are very interesting.

I had a pretty good day, except for my stuffy nose. Mom had little work, so Aunt Mere picked me up and I hung out at Grandmom and Granddad's. Mom came and got me and we came home. I helped Mom bake some cakes (by playing happily in the floor).

I had a bath and dinner. It's time for bed now. Mom says that if anything beeps tonight, she's going to smash it with a hammer. That sounds like it might be bad, so I hope everything is quiet!!
