Concert

It was Sunday. Well, it still is for just a little bit. It flew by in a big hurry. Mom and I got up and did some stuff. After that, we went to Grandmom and Granddad's. I had a snack and took a nap while the people with teeth ate lunch. When I woke up, Mom and Aunt Mere had gone on some kind of mission about the day called Valentine's Day. When they came back, they helped me make my Valentine cards to give to my friends tomorrow. When the valentines were finished, I got in the van with Grandmom, Aunt Mere, and Mom and we were off on an adventure.

Well, it wasn't very adventurous, actually. We went to Lancaster to Grandmother and Granddaddy Auten's church. Katie and some other big group of singing people were there from her big school and they were going to do a concert. That's why we were there. To hear Katie sing. I saw Katie and some of the singers before they started. The boys were dressed like penguins and the girls had on long black dresses.

The singer people came out, but before they got to sing, these people with instruments started playing. Mom said they were called a "brass quintet". They scared me. A lot. Those things called trumpets are terrifying! I was glad when they stopped. The singing was lovely. In the middle, this very enthusiastic fellow came out and played the piano with great gusto. That was interesting. Those brass people played some more too. Again...scary!

When it was all over, Katie came to see me. :)

We went to Grandmother and Granddaddy's house so I could eat my dinner. Granddaddy gave me a baker bear. He has a hat and an apron and he's so soft! I really love him. I call him Bo. After my dinner, we had to come back home. After the long car ride, I've got my pajamas on, I've had my snacks, and I'm ready for bed. Tomorrow is the day called Valentine's Day. Whatever that means....
