Birthdaypalooza!

Today was a busy day. First, I had to be a very good girl this morning because Mom was very busy. She was working very hard in the kitchen making birthday cakes for Colin and Brenna. I knew she needed to be in there, so I stayed in my chair and in my little bed playing and watching the Backyardigans and Sesame Street. I only had to call for Mom once. She was so proud of me and said that I was such a good girl for being so helpful. :)

When Mom was done, I had a bath and got dressed and took a nap. After my nap, we loaded up and headed to Aunt Mere's house for the party!

We were celebrating Brenna's birthday. She was 3 on December 29th. We were celebrating Colin's birthday. He was 9 on January 3rd. And we were celebrating Granddaddy Auten's birthday. He was 89 today! That's why Mom called it "Birthdaypalooza". So many birthdays at once!

When Granny Kat got to the party, she had a present for me!! She said it was a half birthday present.

The people with teeth ate their party food. I took a nap because that eating stuff is boring to me. After my nap, I went to talk to Grandmother.

I was checking out the cakes too. Do you see them back there?

I met Colin and Brenna's cousins, Kaelin and Macie.

I hung out with Grandmother and Granddaddy, the birthday boy!

Colin and Brenna opened their birthday presents. They got a lot of neat stuff. After the presents, they cut up the pretty cakes that Mom made. I didn't understand that at all! Mom worked for a long time and made the cakes look neat and then the people with teeth chopped them up and ATE them!!! All that work just got chewed up. Mom says that's what always happens and that that's what cakes are for. So the people with teeth gobbled them up. They ate ice cream with their cake. Mom put a tiny bit of ice cream on her finger and let me taste it. I love Mom. :)

After a little while it was time for everyone to start leaving. I was worn out and took a comfy pose on the couch.
