Could it be Friday?!?
Hooray!!! I love Friday because Friday means the weekend! Yippee!!!! :)
I slept very well last night. Mom said she thinks it was because of the stabbings. I didn't even want to wake up this morning. I was so snuggly and warm. Because of my anti-day attitude, Mom thought a "Pajama Friday" was in order. I got to wear one of my fuzzy footie suits to Mrs. Leigh Ann's today. :) Before I went, I played a little piano.
I had a good day at Mrs. Leigh Ann's. Mom came and got me after school. She took me to visit Grandmom and Granddad for a few minutes. I fell asleep in the car on the way home, but we stopped at the WalMart store before we got there. I opened my eyes in that bad place. YUCK! Mom said we were there to buy stuff for me though, so I couldn't complain too much.
When we got home, some very interesting things began happening. Mom went in the kitchen and rattled some stuff around. She walked around picking things up (like my Bumbo and some baby wipes) and taking them to a table. She took some stuff from the kitchen to the table. Then she took my clothes away and left me in nothing but a diaper and a bib! What in the world?!?
She took me in and put me in the Bumbo on the table. My Bumbo had a new little table thingy on it. Then it happened. The spoon came near my mouth. I opened my mouth for the spoon. FOOD! Mom said it was called "cereal". Then it came at me again. Mom said this time it was called "apples"! Oh my goodness. Where has this food been all of my life??
Those apple things were fabulous and they made the cereal taste better! I took bite after bite!
Sometimes I got a little bit of the food on the outside of my mouth, but Mom just scooped it up in the spoon and put it in my mouth where it belonged.
After about half of my dinner, I decided I could take control of the situation. Mom wouldn't let me hold the spoon for long, especially when it had more food on it. Something about her not wanting to "wear it". Whatever that means.
I am so excited about food! Mom said that I will eat apples with my cereal for a few days before I can try something else. That is fine with me! I loved those things!
I'm sure I'll have lots more adventures with food! I'll be sure to share them as they come! :)
Oh my goodness I love her expression in that last picture!
